About 102

That is where The Boy's temperature has been for two days now and the Tylenol does not seem to help it much. I'm pretty sure its just a teething thing. The Girl would get teething fevers up to 105...

But... but he is not chewing a lot like you'd think he would if it was teething. He is really cranky and seem very tired, he has been napping more than usual...

But... but he has no other symptoms of a cold, and we have not really seen any other sicknesses in the house...

But... but The Husband has not been feeling well and has not real symptoms either, and The Girl's teething fevers only lasted a day...

I hate this do we call the doctor question. My little boy is usually all smiles, particularly for the camera, but not yesterday. He is not feeling well, but is there anything the Doctor can do?

Thanks for visiting!

Well, when his mother acted like that, I called the doctor. I always thought I'd rather be safe now than sorry later.

Maggie,
He sure is a beautiful baby! Some of my children had ear infections with no other symptoms at all. So that might be it. Do you have a pediatrician that you like?

102 is generally considered not from teething. If he's uncomfortable with it (some kids act perfectly ok with 102), then you should take him in to have his doctor look at him. It could be an ear infection or something else that could be treated and he'd feel better faster.

I'd totally call Dr. G's office--they have nice nurses who call you back and talk you through the symptoms, and recommend whether you should bring him in. Sounds like your instinct is that something is 'off' with him, which makes it perfectly reasonable to follow up--mommy 6th sense!
