This year The Girl wanted to decorate the tables for our big Thanksgiving meal at my mother's house. For this we had two projects. First The Kids made leaf prints, which are basically hand prints but with leaves. These were turned in to lanterns simply by taking legal paper, making the painted prints and then stapling it into a cylinder and placing a small tea light and votive in the middle.

Peal and prepare your asparagus, carrots and parsnips.
Cut carrots and parsnips. try to keep them about the same size as the asparagus.
drizzle with orange juice, olive oil, maple syrup, salt and pepper.
roast at 350 for 20-40 min depending upon the volume of your vegetables turn them about every 10 min to get even cooking and coating of flavors.
